NESLA promotes the development and extension of school library media programs in New England by fostering connections between the members of the school library media associations within the six New England states as well as the educational media associations throughout the country. The goals of the association are: Provide opportunities for leaders at the state level to strengthen leadership skills; Provide opportunities for professional growth that are not easily supported by the state organizations within the regions; and provide a strong regional voice at the national level.
